Long Range EID Ear Tags (Active)
Introducing the first and only commercially available active long range EID tag, FaST TAG. This tag is comprised of a powerful 2.4 GHz radio, long-life Lithium-Ion battery (2 years) and a standard Y-TEX collar and stud. Transmitting at ultra-high digital frequency allows the FaST TAG to be read from over 1/2 mile and maintain consistent and accurate animal identification. The FaST TAG talks or pings every 2 seconds so there is no waiting around to find the signal, its instant and at a high enough resolution that the tag can be located in the dark, rain, sleet and snow!
Reader Systems
Portable Hand Held Reader and Management System
The portable hand held reader and management system consists of a ruggedized hand held PC (IP-67), FaST TRACK software and our custom FaST TRACKER hand held, directional antenna reader. The user is now portable and has very little baggage to pack around. The FaST TRACKER reader works literally like a magic wand that the user can point and identify individuals and groups of livestock. This system can be used from an ATV, tractor, pick-up, or horse back.
Stationary Monitoring System
The stationary FaST Monitoring System consists of a portable galvanized tri-pod tower, solar power system, electronic enclosure, data logger system, optional weather recording instruments, optional GPRS or satellite communication network and site specific antenna configurations. The tower system is configured for maximum single tower coverage or a series of towers can be networked to cover vast regions. The monitoring station actively records animal identification, relative distance and direction from the tower and time and date stamps each recording. At programmed intervals the data logger pushes the recorded data out on the communication network that submits the data to a central web server. The user can then log on at any location to monitor livestock activity or the system can be programmed to provide text, e-mail and voice messaging services.
