Who is Fort Supply Technologies?
In 2005 we started as three brothers with an idea to provide value to the then mandatory National Animal Identification System in the USA. We are now a versatile group of +15 full time and contract employees.
What does Fort Supply do?
Fort Supply Technologies provides a range of software and hardware solutions which track livestock and range animals, using RFID, hand held data loggers and productivity analysis tools.
How do you design your products?
It’s important for us to spent lot of time testing and updating our products based on input from inspectors, health officials, producers, feed lot managers, sale barn managers, cowboys and cowgirls. (We don’t ascribe to the term “cowpersons”). We know that our market is different from any other in the world and we’re proving that FaST products are exceeding expectations.
What is your experience?
The three founding brothers are all degreed engineers and collectivity have had more than 60 total years of successful careers with microelectronics and international product (hardware and software) development. In addition, all three were raised on and now co-manage an active cow/calf ranch in southwestern Wyoming and farm in northern Utah.
Who are your Customers?
Our customers include private livestock managers, state officials, state/provincial brand inspectors, animal research scientists, biologists and animal health officials in the USA, Canada, Germany and Australia. Additional countries in South America and Asia will also soon have our products.
What are our products?
Our brand name FaST™ for Fort Supply Technologies, has a growing number of products.
What kind of backing do you have?
Fort Supply Technologies LLC is majority owned by Fort Supply Livestock Inc., and Campbell Scientific Inc., which owns a significant but minority position.
How do you support your product?
On installations at sale barns, feed lots or large group training sessions, we will travel to the customers location. Follow-up training or single user training is accomplished using a live training session where all participants “see” the same screen on their computer while participating on a live audio conference line hosted by Fort Supply. Simple questions are answered by a host of live staff either by phone or email available almost 24/7.
All hand held software programs are managed online with our remote management system that gives us access to the hand held at any location that has an internet connection. The remote management program is also used for diagnostic testing and training.
How does your software license work?
As a user, you purchase the right to a license good for one year. This license affords the user access to technical phone support and minor updates for the period of 12 months after the date of purchase. After one year, the user has the option to purchase an extended license and technical support for 65% of the original fee or just software updates for 35% of the original fee, users can continue using the software with no further updates if they choose not to purchase the extended license. All requested support for products not under an active license are charged at the going rate with a 30 minute minimum.
Where is the Archer made?
In the USA! Juniper Systems located in Logan, Utah, USA is the designer and manufacturer of the Archer and other world leading portable computer systems.
What is Fort Supply’s relationship with Juniper Systems?
Fort Supply is the licensed re-seller for the Archer for all livestock and animal applications world wide. Junipers Systems is owned by Campbell Scientific.
How long is the warranty on the Archer?
Twelve months from the data of purchase. Up to three additional years of extended warranties are supported by Juniper and available through Fort Supply.
How long does it take to get a FaST product?
FaST, we keep inventory for new purchases on the shelf. Shipping method is chosen and paid for by the customer. We can and have shipped to most major countries in the world.
Can I try a FaST product before I buy?
Yes. We require lending agreement contract that simply gaurantees that if you send the system back at the end of the 30 day trial period or purchase the system. We rarely get a system returned as all customers have generally are more than satisfied with the product!
