Livestock Field/Country Inspection System
FaST BRAND-COUNTRY is designed to replace hand written paper livestock inspections in the field. The system provides populated drop-downs with the appropriate information for quick processing. The user can upload brand and owner information using a complete query search feature from a loaded brand database or hand enter owner information and hand draw the brand image. Multiple brands for a single owner is no problem, the system allows the inspector to enter multiple brands within the same inspection document. The data is stored within secure non-volatile memory and has preventative programming to avoid accidental erasure. The print enable feature has been programmed with a list of Bluetooth printer drivers to allow the inspector to print documents in the field. With the inclusion of an embossed seal, the printed document serves as the official inspection record with additional duplicate copies with the appropriate title information for record purposes.
Field/Country Data Collection
Data is collected on a ruggedized hand-held PC (Archer) with an IP-67 rating. The Archer can handle extreme cold or heat and is water, shock, and dust proof. The data is stored in Flash, non-volatile memory that is protected from accidental erasure. With a powerful 520 MHz Intel processor, 128 MB RAM and 256 or 512 MB memory this unit makes field data capture a breeze. Equipped with a WiFi card this unit now has the ability to transmit data wirelessly to a secure and reliable PC/Mac database. Also standard is Class 1, Bluetooth technology that allows this unit to communicate with all major passive wand and panel readers. This field PC has been proven in eight (8) auction yards and numerous disease testing situations with nothing but positive feedback.
Brand or Premises Database Query
The power to query a brand database with over 40,000 entries and images in less than 5 seconds is extremely powerful when time is of the essence. Inspectors can enter a partial or full listing and initiate a search in the customer database. The system retrieves all entries in common with the search criteria and also provides brand images for visual conformation prior to initiating the transaction.
Remote Data Access
Data can be transferred to ATD of choice using Wifi or a direct internet connection with a PC/Mac. For a nominal fee Fort Supply can transfer the data or provide the system needed for this application. The inspector is not required to process or handle data, this is a hands free , upload procedure for the inspectors. If the ATD inspector does not have personal access to the internet, the inspector can visit a Wifi hot spot and the data can be accessed and uploaded in less time then is required to turn most PC systems on. This is a secure and reliable system for collecting and uploading data to the ATD.
