Search and Recovery

Far too often the summer heat and the lack of cows in estrus drive old bachelor bulls off into the nooks and crannies of the country side.  These bulls often don't show up until the first snow and generally have contributed to significant dollars being spent in search and recovery.  In most cases, these bulls have been in a nutrient deficient state and require additional resources to get their body condition back to optimal.  Had they been recovered following the 80 day rebreed period, their condition would have been much more desirable and would require less resources to achieve optimal body condition.  Plus, the ulcers generated from worrying about recovering a high dollar capital investment would be non-existent.

Bull Finder Solution

What if you could drive down the road or up the fence line and point a object, the size of most TV remotes, into the air and magically be notified that the animal of interest is lying just up the ridge under a big pine tree?  Well, now you can!  Using our patented long range radio frequency ear tag (FaST TAG) and our FaST TRACK Bull Finder hand held and software, you can now locate a stubborn stow-away from the seat of your pickup, ATV or horse without exhausting your resources to recover a bull you invested significant dollars to acquire.

How it works

The system works by applying an active FaST TAG to the ear of the bull prior to sending him out to contribute his genetics to the herd.  The FaST TAG is a battery powered ear tag that transmits his unique identification number out to a 1/2 mile, that's right 1/2 mile.  The FaST TRACK software, loaded on the ultra rugged hand held of choice (Archer or Nomad), connects seamlessly with the remote size directional reader.  By directional, we mean that you can point this towards an animal or a group of animals and instantly know the identity of each animal in the group.  Signal strength status bars assist the user to identify and locate animals of interest.
