Electronic Identification

Take advantage of electronic identification for management of incoming and outgoing livestock.  Scan animals off the truck or place an electronic ear tag in at processing and watch your management objectives come to life.  There is an immense amount of horsepower behind the electronic tag to manage large, medium or small numbers of livestock successfully within an extremely volatile market.  Take your management records to the next level and watch your profits grow.

The key to successful electronic management is having the proper tools for the job.  Our FaST EID system, running on the reliable Windows Mobile 5 or 6 Operating System, has proven itself in the field.  The program is fully customizable so each event doesn’t require a new program, simply change the field headers and you’re off collecting data.

Take it in the pen to record sick or treated animals, make sure animals are in the correct pen, collect weights or simply run an inventory checklist at the same time your recording average daily gain or feed intake efficiencies.  This is all done on one system with very minimal efforts to change event collection information.  Once the information is collected on the hand held, it can then be processed manually on the PC using Microsoft Excel or uploaded to your current management system.

Have animals coming in on a PVP or QSA program? 

Simply take the provided Excel spreadsheet and load it to the hand held prior to the animals’ arrival.  When the animals come off the truck you can quickly scan to make sure you received the purchased order.  It also provides a exportable list of animals that were missing.  Using the original file as a master spreadsheed, the user can continue to scan and record performance, vaccination and treatment records.

Animal comes through the chute and is missing its EID tag, quickly reference the animal from its visual ID (bangs or bangle tag) and put a replacement tag in the ear.  The system has a built in feature that allows you to add the missing tag number to a list for reporting back to the manufacturer or PVP/QSA provider.

The system can be used with either a hand wand or panel reader system of choice.  It’s fast, accurate and reliable even in the worst of conditions.
