Electronic Identification

Using our FaST EID data collection and Bulls Eye stud management system you can accurately and efficiently manage stud inventories and semen collections.  Using the stud list and the animal’s electronic ear tag you will never have to second guess the sire code or registered name.  The harvested semen will be accurately labeled on the spot with no chance of transcription errors or inaccurate information. 

How does this system work? 

Each bull that is to be managed under your system is given an electronic ear tag (EID).  Using an wand or panel reader system, the electronic ear tag is read and the number is passed wirelessly to the hand held program (FaST EID).  The program then references the stud list that was uploaded to the hand held software from the Bulls Eye system.  The bulls information instantly populates the hand held screen to provide visual confirmation of sire identity.  The user can either have the system set to automatically save the animal or manually initiate the data capture procedure.  The bulls information is saved into a secure database and the program instantly sends the selected information (EID number and 4 additional fields) wirelessly to a ruggedized label printer that quickly prints a 2" W x 1" T all-weather adhesive label with the EID number barcode and the four (4) additional fields that were preselected in the software to print to the label.  The system is programmed to handle multiple collections from a single sire collection session and differentiates ejaculations by providing a time stamp on each label.

When the collection is sent to the laboratory for straw loading, the barcode can be then be easily scanned for reference in the Bulls Eye management system for further processing.  This program is field proven and guaranteed reliable in extreme weather conditions.
